My name is Sifu Angelo Foti, I am a direct student of Grandmaster William Chueng. My teacher has been studying, practicing and teaching martial arts for over 50 years. He instilled in me the qualities I mentioned above and I want you to instill those qualities in you so you have a chance to achieve your goals.

When joining our school I will do my best to instill and teach you what my teacher taught me about Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. I have been practicing martial arts for over 20 years and learning Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu for over 15 years and it has definitely changed my life for the better. I see things in a different light now than I did before. My only regret is I wish I could have started my journey in Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu earlier in life as it has shaped and benefited my life in so many positive ways.

The Advanced Shil Lim Tao form teaches you:

The Shil Lim Tao and Advanced Shil Lim Tao forms contain the basics of balance, footwork, structure, eye and energy development along with basic fighting and self-defense techniques. It is essential that the student have a good understanding of these two forms and can explain, demonstrate and use the techniques, principles and concepts that are contain within the forms and beginning levels.

These two forms are the foundation to Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. After learning these forms the student will have a good understanding of the basics, how to apply and use them for self-defense purposes.

In Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu the basics are essential because the intermediate and advanced techniques logically and sequentially build on this foundation.

What do you learn after the basic at the intermediate levels?

At the intermediate level of Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu you will start learning the Chum Kil form. The Chum Kil form teaches you:

  • Footwork and stances to avoid fighting force with force.
  • Mobility.
  • Coordination of arms and legs, right and left sides of the body.
  • Multiple kicks and shadowless kicking (mo jing geuk).
  • Balance.
  • Two handed techniques.
  • Understanding of the bon sao (application).
  • Bridging the gap between you and your opponent.
  • Development of chi.

  • How use your footwork to avoid fighting force with force.

More of the wooden dummy form. The wooden dummy form is a very powerful training aid used in Wing Chun Kung Fu. It takes the place of an actual partner when no one is available. It also allows you to issue more force when applying techniques which may not always be possible with a “live” training partner due to the areas and points you are striking.

The wooden dummy (Mook Yan Jong) form will teach you:

  • How to use footwork to correctly apply force to your opponent
  • How to re-direct your opponent’s force
  • Improves balance, coordination, eye focusing, mobility and stability
  • Improves the “flow” of your techniques so you can easily move from one movement to another
  • Arm/hand/leg conditioning
  • Improves your techniques, timing, distancing and kicking
  • Improves striking accuracy, stabilization techniques and helps to move your body as a single unit

Do you offer Private Lessons?

Private lessons are usually one-on-one lessons with Sifu Foti. However, two or more people can also have a private lesson if the private lesson is on the same topic. The total cost of the private lesson will be less per person allowing both students to save money and then have a training partner to work after class on the material that is covered during the private lesson.

This class covers various body weight and light weight (1lb to 10lb) exercises that work the cardiovascular system with an aerobic / anaerobic exercises.  The exercises will also help you gain functional strength, develop better focus, concentration and balance are some of the class benefits that you will get from our conditioning class.  The exercises are all two minute s long with a 20-30 second rest in-between exercises.  The class is structured so you go at your own pace depending on your fitness level.

This class covers various exercises using “kettlebells” weights.  These weights are used in a dynamic fashion by swinging, lifting and holding type exercises that give you a total body workout.  This class will work your cardiovascular system at the same time building functional strength.  Weights vary in this class depending on the type of exercise and fitness level the student is in.  The exercises are all one to two minutes long with a 20-30 second rest in-between exercises.  The class is structured so you go at your own pace depending on your fitness level. It is a fun and challenging class that will keep you coming back for more.

BONUS CLASS #3

Plyometric Class*** – for more information on the Plyometric class please click here
This class covers various exercises that are used to build power and endurance.  This class is not recommended for the beginners and persons under 16 years old***.  The classes are high intensity and high impact to the body and joints.  Plyometric exercises are strenuous and should only be done no more than twice a week. The exercises are 30 seconds to 1 minute long with a 20 second to one minute rest in-between exercises (depending on the exercise and fitness level of the participants).  The class is structured so you go at your own pace depending on your fitness level. 
 *** Plyometric classes are only offered to students 16 years of age and older.
If under 18 must have parents or legal guardian’s written permission to join the class.

This class helps to calm the mind and strengthen the body.  Meditations will help center and bring balance back into your life.  Learn how to calm the mind to develop greater awareness of your body and surroundings. 

Qigong portion of the class will help strengthen the body as well as the mind.  The exercises are developed to move your energy (qi), and oxygenate your blood to make you feel and look great.  This class is ½ hour long and the exercises are good for people of various ages.

ISO CHI is an effective health and fitness program that combines the use of internal energy (chi) and isometric exercises.  The classes start with gentle warm-up meridian stretching exercises, then the Iso-Chi exercise, and finish with mediation.
